Surfgym and Indo Board Europe present a unique opportunity to meet and participate in an Indo Board session with Hunter Joslin; the creator and founder of Indo Board.
Surfers and other board sports participants have long known the advantages of dry land training to improve performance. For many of us an Indo Board is a major part of our cross training programme. Great for balance and stability the Indo Board also improves core strength which in turn improves posture and wellbeing. Surfgym is a metabolic conditioning programme that uses Indo Boards as a key component.

As the benefits of Indo Board training have become well known they are being used by athletes from many different sports. Fitness enthusiasts are also taking to the Indo Board for its total body workout capabilities when used with additional equipment like medicine balls and dumbbells.

Hunter Joslin started surfing and skateboarding in the sixties. He devised the original Indo Board around the same time and refined the design into the perfect product used today. In 1998 he developed the Indo Board balance trainer into a full range of indoor core fitness products.

Known to friends and colleagues as the “Balance Sensei, Balance Whisperer and even Indo Man,” Hunter Joslin is a legend of balance and stability training. This is a unique opportunity to meet Hunter and participate in a session with him. The free one hour session will be held at London Southbank University on Monday the 19 July between from 15:30 - 16:30

Places are limited and must be booked in advance by emailing Mason at bookings@surfgym.com You will be emailed an official invite to confirm your booking which you will need to bring with you on the day.

Fitness First crowns Personal Trainer of the Year 2010
Innovation, dedication and commitment have proved a winning formula for Kevin Hubble from Bournemouth, who has been awarded the coveted title of Fitness First UK Personal Trainer of the Year 2010.

Facing tough competition from Fitness First personal trainers throughout the UK, the 33-year-old Bournemouth club PT was awarded the top spot after the judges considered a number of factors including client testimonials, representation of Fitness First through the company’s mission and values, personal and client development and growth of business.

UK Managing Director John Gamble said: “Kevin is a deserving winner of the PT of the year award.  Aside from his dedication to Fitness First, his commitment to innovation at the Bournemouth club is fantastic.  Not only as an Indo Board master trainer has he introduced this is a class format but also created a ‘To the core’ class for members.  Fitness First strives to offer the highest quality in personal training and Kevin’s enthusiasm to excite clients with new techniques such as the Indo Board personifies this.”

Kevin commented: “I am so pleased and excited to have won PT of the year.  Despite hundreds of fantastic personal trainers with Fitness First I’m thrilled to be recognised for my effort and commitment.  If I won the lottery I’d still be a personal trainer, it’s my life and I love doing it with Fitness First.”

Kevin’s dedication stretches further than his gym clients by making a difference with all ages.  Delivering Indo Board classes to over 100 children a year in five local schools as part of a government initiative to get youngsters active demonstrates how Kevin encompasses Fitness First’s mission to make the world a fitter place."

INDOFITNESS is proud to announce that our application for Sport
England - Sport Unlimited year 3 has been approved and we will be
delivering indoboard after school clubs in 5 schools in North Dorset
from September 2010.

Sport Unlimited is an innovative new youth sports programme which
cascades funding to local communities via the county sports
partnerships network.

It’s targeted at youngsters who may have some interest in sport, but
aren’t particularly engaged with community or club sport.

We have found in the previous 2 years of delivering after school clubs
that INDOBOARDING ticks all the right boxes in encouraging young
people who may not be taking part in mainstream sports to adopt an
active lifestyle thus improving their health and are very happy that
we have been recognised for the work that has taken place already.
